The Education Committee of The Marketing Institute offers exemptions to holders of academic qualifications.
University graduates and holders of other academic or professional qualifications should submit an official results transcript directly to The Marketing Institute. Transcripts are available from the place of study and show the subjects taken and grades awarded in each year of the course. Students may be requested to submit a course syllabus in support of their application. Exemptions are dependent on subjects taken and grades awarded.
All exemption applications should be made prior to starting the course in September.
The fee for each exemption granted is €20. As the Foundation Certificate in Marketing is no longer being offered, i.e. Stages 1 and 2, no exemption fee will apply. Exemption fees are only applicable for the Diploma, i.e. Stage 3. Please note that exemptions cannot be granted after a student has taken our examinations, irrespective of the result. There are no exemptions available from Stage 4 as all subjects must be taken in the final year.
